We are working in conjunction with another recruiter who are the lead recruiters and their client is looking for an enthusiastic and committed Roving Sous Chef for their gastro public houses located across the South East.
This establishment is a part of a group of awarded winning pubs that use locally sourced products where possible, prepare all traditional, pub-grub dishes onsite and overall provide a homely, eating experience to all guests.
There are 8 establishments in total and you will be covering any Head Chefs or Sous Chefs who may be absent or need supporting. Mileage and expenses are covered with this position and you will also receive tips from each venue you work at. Your home base will be the establishment that is closet to your home and generally you will spend 2 weeks at each venue when required.

What our client is looking for from the successful Roving Sous Chef?
In this type of industry teamwork is key; you should be a strong team player willing to lend a hand wherever needed.
Able to thrive in a busy environment
Travel to any of the venues as and when required on a rota based system with other Roving Sous Chefs
Must be competent in working on all sections in the kitchen
Be organised and able to work effectively under pressure
Preparing, cooking and presenting dishes
Managing and developing any junior chefs in the kitchen
You should be highly attentive to detail and be capable of delivering consistent standards
Monitoring portion and waste control
